Fink Domain Name Down

FYI, the "finkproject.org" domain name is down -- turns out it had expired and we didn't catch it. We're working on getting it fixed, just wanted to get the word out. Fink Is Not Kaput ;)

Kinda after the horse has bolted but...most domain registrars allow you to automatically renew a domain before it expires so long as you leave them a valid credit card. I usually remember to renew my domains but it is nice to know that if I forget the registrar will renew for me anyhow.

Best of luck getting the domain back.

Is there a backup domain name (or eventually IP) where the fink domain is still accessible ?

I just removed the kde-mac framework and would like to get a snapshot again.

Cheers,

Daniel

Yeah, a couple of times in the past we've asked the guy who registered it to add some additional contacts, but we never got around to making it happen. Whups. =)

All of the other fink-related domains (finkdeveloper.net, finkmirrors.net) are accessible by all of the fink core admins, this one was the last one that needed to get switched. :P

The torrents are all available at http://www.opennms.org/~ranger/kde/ if you want to try re-downloading.

Thanks, but erm.
I meant:

svn co http://svn.finkproject.org/svn/users/ranger/trunk/kde-mac

which isn't reachable ;)

Cheers and good luck getting the domain back.

Actually, I moved it to google code a bit ago:

http://code.google.com/p/kdemac/

Oh. I haven't known that.

I found your page via the KDE.org Wiki.

Thanks for the update. I will try my luck :-)

Daniel

The disk images for

kdelibs-20080113
kdebase-20080113
koffice-20080113

cannot mount on OS X 10.5.1 and 10.4.11

The error says "not recognized". The 0111 ones are fine.
